Usually 2-3 letters and 2-8 numbers. Used for tracking during manufacturing and by stores. You pick this number, and it can be your initials and the date recorded (DVT 013399), the record label initials and a starter sequence number (BTR 0001 or LBR 101), or any combination. Keep in mind what the number for your NEXT album will be using the system you choose.
